Registering the Database

In a network environment, the name of a database must be registered on each node from which it is to be accessed.

A database is created as a local database on the node where it resides and it is defined as a remote database on each other node in the network from which access to it is required.

Win: On a Windows node, the name of a database is registered by running the Mimer Administrator. The Mimer Administrator adds information about Mimer SQL databases to the Windows registry. Refer to the online Windows help provided with the Mimer Administrator for details on how to use it.
