Import Wizard - File Copy Conflict

The import wizard has at this point copied the system databank from your handheld device to a temporary location. When examining the contents of the system databank references to files were found that already exist on your computer (presumably because another database has files in these locations).

If you select cancel no changes will have been made by the wizard.

If you proceed to copy the files from the handheld device they will be placed in new locations in order not to interfere with the files already present on your desktop computer. To get the copied database working you have to update the system databank with information where the files are now located. There are two categories of files:

System databanks

To change the filename for the system databanks TRANSDB, LOGDB, and SQLDB you start the database server and then invoke the Batch SQL program (found in the Mimer SQL folder on the start menu). The Batch SQL program will prompt you for the filenames of each system databank that it does not find.

User databanks

Locations of user databanks are updated with the SQL command ALTER DATABANK. In the wizard the actual ALTER DATABANK commands are shown. Take a note of these and perform them from Batch SQL or any other interactive SQL program of your choice.
