Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 10.1.2.14 (10.1.2A):

  1. New installer technology used for installation. WIX is used instead of Visual Studio Deployment projects.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 10.1.0.32 and 10.1.0.34 (10.1.0C):

  1. List returned by MimerConnection.GetSchema("ReservedWords") updated with reserved words in version 10.1 of Mimer SQL.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 10.1.0.12 and 10.1.0.14 (10.0.1A):

  1. The column IsUnique and IsKey in the result set returned by MimerDataReader.GetSchemaTable has a slightly different meaning. IsUnique is now true if the single column is unique by itself. IsKey is true if the column is part of a unique key, unique index, or a primary key consisting of one (IsUnique is also true in this case) or several columns.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 9.4.4.1 (9.4.4A):

  1. When running the Mimer SQL Data Provider in 64-bit mode and connecting with protocol local, namedpipes, or rapi the system loads the dynamic link library mimcomm64.dll. In 32-bit mode the dynamic link library mimcomm.dll is still used. This allows both of the dll-files to be present in the path, while still allowing the correct library to be loaded depending on if 32-bit or 64-bit mode is used. The mimcomm64.dll is distributed with Mimer SQL version 10.0.6 and later.
  2. The MimerDataSourceEnumerator can now enumerate data sources for both 32-bit and 64-bit installations of Mimer SQL irregardless if the .NET executable is running in 32-bit or 64-bit mode. To allow a 32-bit ADO.NET execution to enumerate data sources for a 64-bit installation it is necessary for the mimcomm.dll to be present as managed 32-bit .NET applications do not have access to the 64-bit registry where this information is found.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 9.4.3.1 (9.4.3A):

  1. Performance improvement in several MimerDataReader GetXxx methods such as GetString and GetDateTime.
  2. When changing MimerCommand.CommandType property to the same value, the SQL statement is no longer recompiled.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 9.4.2.1 (9.4.2A):

  1. New column SPECIFIC_NAME for MimerConnection.GetSchema row sets that return procedure and function information.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 9.4.1.2 (9.4.1B):

  1. DataTable returned by MimerConnection.GetSchema("Triggers") no longer returns the column CREATED. This change is made for consistency with other GetSchema result sets.
  2. GetSchema collection "Schemas" no longer supports any restrictions.
  3. Restriction names in GetSchema collection "Restrictions" has been made more consistent.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 9.4.1.1 (9.4.1A):

  1. MimerDataSourceEnumerator.GetDataSources returns a DataTable where the column DatabaseName is now called Database for consistency with other parts of the product.
  2. Improved property sheet support for drop down lists for Database and Protocol when building connection strings.

Changed functions in Mimer SQL Data Provider 9.4.0.1 (9.4.0A):

  1. To allow for proper integration with Visual Studio 2005 is has been necessary to use the same namespace in both the .NET Framework version and the .NET Compact Framework version provider. This means that all applications using the Compact Framework provider must be adjusted when upgrading to this version. Perform the following steps:
  2. Change all using clauses and full references to classes:

    Old construction Replace with
    Mimer.Data.CompactClient using Mimer.Data.Client
