Mimer SQL 10.1.1, Linux (32-bit)
This is the Mimer SQL 10.1.1A version for Linux 2.6, or later, on the Intel x86 platform. Please see the article News in Mimer SQL version 10.1 for a news summary.
Both client and server software for Mimer SQL are included. A documentation set in PDF format can also be found in the package.
Please note that in the Mimer SQL 10.1 distribution package there are two different database servers provided (see the Mimer SQL Release Notes for further details).
- Mimer SQL Engine is a continuation of the long line of database servers from Mimer Information Technology. It preserves backward compatibility and is intended for production systems that are upgraded from earlier versions of Mimer SQL.
- Mimer SQL Experience is a new product and has an SQL compiler that has been developed with many additional optimization techniques and rich SQL language support.
The Mimer SQL product includes DbVisualizer, the leading platform independent and cross database tool aimed to simplify database development and management for database administrators and developers.
Linux kernel 2.6, or later.
This product is developed for NPTL (Native Posix Thread Library) threads, which usually is the default for 2.6 kernels. Linux kernels running the traditional 'linuxthread' package are not supported with this version.
This product also takes advantage of the libaio library for asynchronous I/O. If this library is not installed as
/usr/lib/libaio.so the performance may not be optimal.
