Mimer Data Provider on .NET Compact Framework 1.0
Introduction

ADO.NET is an object-oriented interface for accessing and manipulating data in the Microsoft .NET Framework. The .NET Compact Framework is a version of .NET Framework that can be used on Windows CE based devices, for example a PDA running Pocket PC or a cellular Phone running Windows Mobile.

With the Mimer Compact Data Provider you can develop .NET applications that access Mimer SQL databases locally on your device or on other computers. You can access both Mimer SQL Mobile and Mimer SQL Engine databases.

Description

Mimer Compact Data Provider 9.3 is one of the members in the new generation of the Mimer Data Provider family.

Mimer Compact Data Provider shares the same source code as the other members on the family and like the others it is written in 100% managed code. The Mimer Compact Data Provider 9.3 requires Mimer SQL 9.2.3 or later.

Mimer Compact Data Provider is integrated in Visual Studio .NET 2003 so it is easy to add references to it and search the documentation. The extensive documentation provides you with both an overview and a detailed reference section. The Dynamic Help shows the appropriate help contents while you are writing the code.

With Mimer SQL Mobile/Engine, Mimer Compact Data Provider, and Visual Studio .NET 2003 you have a very powerful combination of tools that let you create advanced mobile .NET applications in an ease-of-use manner.

Notes

The SDK for Windows Mobile 2003-based Pocket PCs allows you to create Pocket PC 2003 applications using eMbedded Visual C++ 4.0, and applications written in C# or Visual Basic .NET using Visual Studio .NET 2003.

The SDK for Windows Mobile 2003-based Smartphones enables application development for the newest Smartphone development platform.
