The so called headless packages of Mimer SQL for Linux are mainly aimed for server computers or other systems where GUI components are not used. This means that no programs with a graphical user interface (GUI) are provided and that no desktop integration is made. The packages here are for the Intel x86_64/amd64 platform.

See the articles Contents of a Mimer SQL 11 distribution package and Mimer SQL on Linux for details about the package, prerequisites and requirements. It can be mentioned that these packages usually require OpenSSL 1.1, or later.

The installation process is simple and straightforward, and the details about it is described in the article Installing Mimer SQL on Linux. You will be up and running in a few minutes. Please note that there are different types of installation packages available, like RPM, DEB and TAR – see the article for details on their characteristics.

These packages include a free default license for testing and development, that allows up to ten concurrent users. For license upgrades, please contact Mimer SQL sales.
