Mimer SQL is a highly configurable product, with various components and features working as pieces of a puzzle.
Mimer SQL provides small footprint, scalable and robust relational database solutions that conform to international ISO SQL standards, solutions that are very well suited for high performance mission critical systems as well as for mobile and embedded applications. Mimer SQL offers effective adaptions to common database APIs like ODBC, JDBC, Embedded SQL, and ADO.NET, and in addition there are native ones optimized especially for the Mimer SQL database server. Mimer SQL runs on all major platforms including Windows, Linux, macOS, Android and OpenVMS. In addition, various embedded platforms are supported, like QNX for example.
Enterprise
The foundation and standard configuration is an enterprise product, based upon the Mimer SQL Experience database server. It includes all the database functionality that is the mark of Mimer SQL, and that customers around the world appreciate. 24×7 operation, online-backup, immediate restart, automatic reorganization, BLOBs/CLOBs/NCLOBs, distributed transactions (XA, MS DTC), Unicode, Collations, J2EE support — you name it, we got it. By adding, replacing or removing parts of the enterprise compilation, other products are created that often focuses on specific target issues.
Automotive
The Automotive approach is a product area that focuses on the increasing use of computer technology within the car industry. Mimer SQL, with a strong foundation in embedded solutions, is an obvious choice with world class performance and reliability. The ability to bring the strength of a well tested solution for data management into the vehicle brings a multitude of advantages where integrity, scalability, and flexibility are rapidly becoming requirements for a data management solution to grow in. Mobile
Another approach is solutions for use in Mobile phones or other communicative devices. Nowadays devices like this usually have system resources enough to easily run the standard Mimer SQL Experience server, which is very configurable and efficient when it comes to resource consumption. But, for some of these devices the platform provides a limited environment, which is the case where the Mimer SQL Mobile database server may be the ideal choice. With the Mimer SQL Mobile concept, using a runtime environment without a SQL compiler, a complete and full-featured RDBMS can be provided for this kind of system platforms. All functionality is there! You want multi-user functionality on your device, you want client/server access, you want multi-lingual support, you want all that powerful database functionality. Embedded
The final product line is called Embedded. Here we provide the possibility to ask for a unique embedded solution, tailor-made to fit your hardware/OS configuration and your applications.
